A Message to AAI Members and IMMUNOLOGY2020™ Meeting Attendees
Dear AAI Members, Meeting Attendees, and Colleagues:
Like you, the American Association of Immunologists leadership is closely monitoring the rapid developments pertaining to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Due to advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of State, State and Federal governments, and the World Health Organization (WHO), coupled with the extensive travel restrictions our members and colleagues must observe, we have made the difficult decision to cancel IMMUNOLOGY2020™, which was scheduled to take place May 8 – 12 in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
Please know we did not reach this decision easily or without careful research and serious consideration. With the uncertainty of the weeks and months ahead, we believe it is most prudent to cancel this meeting and look forward to IMMUNOLOGY2021™, which will be held in Philadelphia, PA, May 12 – 16, 2021.
We will provide all IMMUNOLOGY2020™ participants with detailed instructions regarding refund and cancellation policies later this week. We would be grateful if you would wait for this information before emailing or calling the AAI office.
We want to assure AAI annual meeting attendees that your safety and security are our top priorities.
We look forward to seeing you all in Philadelphia at IMMUNOLOGY2021™.
Sincerely,
Jeremy M. Boss, Ph.D.
AAI President
M. Michele Hogan, Ph.D.
